We Don't Usually Like Neighbors

We don't usually like our neighbors. We've had pot smokers; drunk 20-year olds who like to climb on roofs; creepy private detectives; and our current crazy old pack rat. We haven't told Joan that we are going to be moving later this summer. She is going to flip. It should be quite the sight.

Our house is the first to be built in our development. Actually, our lot is the only one that has sold. The lot next to us backs up to a small pond and is almost completely covered in trees. The developer has told us that several deer and turkeys call these trees home. Our hope is that no one will ever purchase the lot and the trees will remain. Our back deck will have a great view of the trees and all of the wildlife that inhabits them.

When Dave and I were out inspecting the basement the other day we took a walk down to the pond. We were delighted to encounter our new neighbors along the way...
