State Fair and Grandmas

What a busy weekend we had.  We spent the weekend in Grand Island to attend the State Fair.  We had a blast!

First we stopped at my mom and dad's and picked up Allie and my mom.  Allie and Amelia had to play first.  Allie kept trying to give Amelia "kisses".  Not sure if they were really kisses as her two bottom teeth were prominently displayed.

Allie kept trying to play with Amelia by grabbing her face.  Amelia wasn't too sure about this and ended up with a couple of scratches but once she's older, I know they'll love playing together.

After some play time we headed to the fair.  Our first stop was the petting zoo.  We had a blast!  They had a crazy variety of animals to pet - zebra, camel, goats, buffalo, water bison.  The list goes on.

Allie loved watching the goats and kept trying to pull the tag out of this one's year.

This camel really wanted to sniff Allie but she wasn't too sure.

Allie was pretty worn out after riding around for a while, but she was pretty comfy in her stroller.

We stopped at the birthing pavilion to see the piglets and lamb.  They were adorable.  There were also 2 cows in labor but Dave didn't want to hang around to see how that progressed.

Of course, Amelia was hungry about the time we arrived at the birthing pavilion.  I thought it was fitting that she was getting her bottle there.

We also were able to visit both of my grandparents.  They hadn't seen Amelia since she was a couple of weeks old.  She thoroughly enjoyed sleeping with her Great-Grandmas.

Amelia even got to pick corn with Great Grandpa Schlueter!

All in all, it was a great weekend.  We only wish Grand Island was closer so we could visit more often!
