Washington D.C., Part 6
Apparently life got busy! I had this post and the next ready to go from our Washington DC trip and never finished them. So, here's some final photos from our trip!
We visited lots of museums while we were in DC. We had to rush through some of them as we just didn't have enough time!
Neither Dave nor I want to run into this shark! Can you imagine?
My hands don't look so big now. Course, we didn't compare feet!
The Hope Diamond.

The planes hanging throughout the museum were spectacular. I could have laid on the floor and gazed up at them for hours! (No, I didn't actually lay on the floor of the museum - I'm not that crazy!).
We visited lots of museums while we were in DC. We had to rush through some of them as we just didn't have enough time!

Notice the cute penguin. This plane was used for landing in Antarctica.
This train was huge!
This photo showed troops being transported overseas during WWII. When I researched the 4th Armored Division (the division my great uncle Lou served with) one of his Army buddies told me that they were transported overseas in ships originally designed to transport fruit. The hammocks seen in the photo were constructed in the cargo hold so the soldiers had somewhere to sleep/live. It was amazing to see something I had been told in photo form. Makes it so much more real.
