10 Months Old!

10 months old!  Our baby Amelia is getting to be such a big girl!

Amelia got to celebrate her first Easter during her 10th month.  She loved the eggs and buckets.  She has the best time putting items in buckets and pulling them out of buckets.  That task can keep her entertained for days!

Amelia also discovered how to wave hello and goodbye.  Her face lights up and her smile is huge when someone waves to her and she waves back!

Amelia can also now pull herself up on furniture.  Her stance is a little rough but she's working it!

Amelia tried pickles for the first time this month.  She loved them!  Must get that from her papa!

Amelia received sidewalk chalk and yard tools for Easter.

She had a blast with the sidewalk chalk though it was immediately to the bath when she was done drawing.

Amelia's other big accomplishment for the month was finding her belly button.  It's easiest to find during bath time but she giggles every time she "finds" her belly button.  Her mom and dad giggle as well!

9 Months Old!

Thought I had better knock 9 and 10 months out quick since our baby girl is almost 11 months old!!!

Amelia's 9th month was full of steady growth.

She started her life-long trek to the Husker baseball games.  She got a foul ball at one of the games and absolutely loves it.

She can easily go from crawling to sitting and back to crawling.

She can give you a high five!

Make sure she doesn't have that ball in her hand though.  Her high-fives aren't always on target!

She also got to brush her teeth for the first time this month.  She loves to bite down on your finger!

She mastered the art of clapping.  Patty-cake is super fun with her now!

What An Evening!

We had a fabulous evening tonight!  It was so nice outside tonight so we wanted to hurry up and get out there.  Before heading out, we had to eat dinner first!  Spaghetti was on the menu and Amelia was in heaven!

She couldn't get the spaghetti in fast enough.

We were smart enough to remove her shirt before she dug in.  I'm glad we did because she used her belly as a shelf to catch the spaghetti that didn't make it into her mouth.

After dinner and clean up, we headed outside.  Patton joined us and immediately hogged the entire blanket.  This was not a problem for Amelia as she just crawled on top and

over him!

Amelia loves the grass.  Well, she loves to pull it and throw it up in the air.  She isn't too sure about putting her knees on it though.

Here she's trying to not touch the grass.  This whole process is so funny to watch!

Patton makes a good resting stop.

While we were playing, Dave was working hard.  Our spring project is to get a sidewalk and other landscaping in up front.  Dave's currently working on digging up the grass up front.  Better him than me!

To The Park!

The weather has been so nice this year, but 90 degrees in April?  That's warm!  We scooted to the park early Sunday morning to beat the heat.

Amelia was ready for the sun.

This girl loves to swing!  She was even joined by a little girl that lives near the park.  Amelia loved watching her swing.

Patton took a spin on the merry-go-round.  Not so sure that he liked it, but he puts up with me.

Back home we had to stop for some water.  She can drink out of the straw but she does forget to swallow.  Luckily, it was warm enough out so she could be all wet with no worries!

And to finish off the morning, carrots!  Carrots all over!

More Amelia

Some random pics of Amelia from the last couple of weeks.

Amelia loves her baseball games, especially if it means hanging out with Grandpa.

She's also discovering a love of grass.  When you first set her in the grass, she attempts to hold up her feet so they don't touch the super tickly grass.  After a while, she gets distracted by pulling the blades and will eventually set her feet down.

And at home.. Yes, in her pajamas in the yard.  Why not?

This is when she attempted to show us that she could start climbing up stairs anytime.  Seriously, that girl can't even stand on her own, but she was putting a knee up and trying to get up the stairs!
